Aonghus Lawlor is Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin, and a Funded Investigator at the Insight SFI research Centre. After completing his PhD in University College Dublin he worked at the National Centre for Geocomputation and then joined the recommender systems group at the Insight Centre. His current work is focused on recommender systems, applying machine learning and deep learning to recommendation tasks and finding ways to interpret and explain recommendations. Aonghus is co-lead with Dan Milbourne in Teagasc for Spoke 3 pasture breeding. He is a supervisor to a postdoctoral researcher and co-supervisor to one PhD in Spoke 3 with Teagasc.
